Not only have I taken an active role at Best Buy and Geek Squad Academy, but I've also made my community a better place to live.  My leadership roles within my activities and honors indicate my strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Volunteer for the Red Ribbon Bash, organized to support the Southern New Mexico AID and Comfort Fund
  • Volunteer for Relay for Life, to benefit the American Cancer Society
  • Consistent positive views on the Best Buy Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Survey
  • Researched, wrote, and defended a master's thesis "A Tempest of Popular Passions": Winthrop Sargent, William Claiborne, and the Search for Authority in the Mississippi Territory, 1798 - 1803" which was accepted "without reservation" by the faculty of the UNK History Department
  • Awarded UNK Graduate Assistantship and tuition waiver
  • 2008 Nebraska High Schools "History Day" Judge
  • Historian of Pi Nu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, History Honor Society
  • Participant in the National Student Exchange
  • Awarded TOPS Honors Scholarship - Full tuition and stipend scholarship for four years at LSU
