Not only did I successfully complete both of my academic degrees efficiently, but I also chose to take an active role in my campus and city community as well. My leadership roles within my activities and honors indicate my strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Received highest possible markings on semi-annual review at Best Buy
  • Researched, wrote, and defended a master's thesis "A Tempest of Popular Passions": Winthrop Sargent, William Claiborne, and the Search for Authority in the Mississippi Territory, 1798 - 1803" which was accepted "without reservation" by the faculty of the UNK History Department
  • Awarded UNK Graduate Assistantship and tuition waiver
  • 2008 Nebraska High Schools "History Day" Judge
  • Presented paper "The Peculiarities of Indian Purdah since Independence" at the 2008 University of Nebraska system "No Limits" Women's Study Conference
  • Historian of Pi Nu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, History Honor Society
  • Participant in the National Student Exchange
  • Awarded TOPS Honors Scholarship - Full tuition and stipend scholarship for four years at LSU
